Hooked on all things outdoors since growing up in California, backpacking and surfing transitioned to climbing and skiing during college. His stoke for bigger mountain terrain brought him to Summit County Colorado after a year in the French Alps, before settling down in the Methow Valley and North Cascades of Washington.
As a guide, he enjoys helping guests past their perceived limitations, with the goal of improving their mountain sense and technical skills. He continues his own development through the rock, alpine, and ski guide courses with the American Mountain Guides Association, and avalanche education through the American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education.
On his days off, he’s most often found exploring the hills or relaxing at an alpine lake, with his wife Noémi, and dog Banjo.
