Mount Baker is the third highest peak in the North Cascades, topping out at 10,781 ft. It is a heavily-glaciated stratovolcano and provides an excellent alpine training ground for learning snow and ice climbing technique and glacier travel skills. It is a great place to prepare for the higher peaks around the world, and is a beautiful and technical peak right in our backyard.
